Chocolate Sponge Cake Recipe
1 cup milk
1/2 cup oil
1 tbsp vinegar
1tbsp vanilla essence
1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
3/4 cup powdered sugar
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1. Sift milk in a large bowl, add oil, vanilla essence, and vinegar. Mix well.
2. Furthermore add all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
3. Mix gently and if required add milk little to attain smooth dropping consistency.
4. Line a butter paper at the bottom of the tray to prevent sticking.
5. Transfer the cake batter to a cake mold.
6. Bake the cake at 180 degrees celsius for 25 minutes in a preheated oven.
If making in the cooker, remove the whistle & rubber ring and preheat the cooker for 10 minutes then bake the cake for 30 minutes on medium heat.
Bake it until the skewer inserted comes out clean.
7. Cool down the cake completely to demold then cut it into pieces.
