Black Forest Cake. A chocolate sponge cake soaked with simple syrup, filled and frosted with light sweetened whipped cream along with some juicy cherries and rich, dark chocolate shavings. Need I say more? This cake would win anyone with just one glance at it, but this recipe is the best one I have ever tried. The sponge cake has the perfect amount of bitterness that is balanced out by the simple syrup. And it is moist and juicy in every bite along with the freshness that the cherries lend to it. You NEED to make this cake right away. Happy Baking! 🙂
Ingredients:
For the Chocolate Sponge Cake: (6″ round cake)
*1/2 cup all-purpose flour (maida) (To buy online:

*1/3 cup sugar

For the Whipped Cream:
*1 1/4 cup whipping cream (I used Deluxe Non Dairy whipping cream)
*1/3 cup powdered sugar

But I dont know measurement because this time I am gonna use 10/2.5 inches tin / 26/6cm tin. Can you please tell me the recipe measurements for this. Thank you
Can we add melted butter instead of oil?
Try to caremalize sugar first to dark brown color and then boil with water, this syrup tastes like wine and now sprinkle it on cake. I have made it this way and cake turned out amazing with that robust flavor of caramelized sugar.
It's a lie! The cake is a lie!
The first time I made this cake In May 2020 and it came out very well. But when I tried to make this last week and again today following this same recipe, for some reason the cake's texture not coming right..! Why would that happen, does anyone have any ideas why?

The Cake is a Lie.
Failed…. The mixture is just too thick and my suggestion is to give the ingredient measurement by gram. My measurement could have go wrong somehow.

I havw made this cake with this recipe couple of times and it turned out so good but yesterday I doubled all the ingredients to make bigger cake n first try was fine but second n third try was all watery inside. Do u know what could have gone wrong?
