This has been so helpful. I covered my xmas cake today and it looks awesome. Thank you.
Can't help but hear so much innuendo.
i felt that i needed a little refresh of how to do this before i make my wedding cake (it has been 10 years since i have used roll on fondant )
this video is amazing. i love the simplicity and the fact that it is just how to do this and not all these other techniques that i already know. i love your accent and i love that it feels like being home with mum or grandma or maybe at the cwa (country womens association )
thank you so much. i never comment on videos, but this was sincerely worth watching and i intend to watch again purely because your voice is like a big hug!
Thank you this video has made the iceing process much more enjoyable for me.
Thank you so much for this video. Very helpful and honest 🙂
Thank you Pat for such a nice video. You make it seem so easy.
Great video easy to follow
thank you soooooo much 🙂 its amazing and easy to understand
Thank you! I ordered a birthday cake for November instead ofAugust! Not sure what I was thinking but you have helped me try make a cake myself. Many thanks!
I really enjoyed this video. An easy to understand tutorial well explained thankyou. Just one Q: do you have to cover the whole cake in buttercream first before putting the icing on in order for icing to stick?? I was just planning on putting the icing straight onto sponge cake?
Fab Pat. I am so grateful for your brill video. Have just been able to make my daughter's 18th birthday cake. xx
Thankyou for the tutorial! You explained it all so well:) This will be the first 'serious' cake I've made and it is going to be fancy!! This time, I will not resort to covering the whole thing with buttercream!
Thank you, this has helped me so much! You're a life saver! 🙂
Never been called a 'star' before! Glad to help with your little son's cake.
Sorry I missed your recent question Lauren. Either type of rolling pin can be used – but make sure the rolling pin in given a light dusting of icing sugar, or else it could stick on the icing. Also it is a good idea to buy a long one, as a small one could leave marks on the icing.
Thank you for this brilliant tutorial – I had the laptop in the kitchen with me and have just iced my son's 1st birthday cake perfectly with no baking experience! Pat, you're a star!
So pleased to have been a 'second Mum' to you. I taught cake decorating for over 25 years and like to help by showing viewers the 'tricks of the trade' .
This video is exactly what I was looking for. All explained perfectly 🙂
It's like your mum telling you how to do it rather than some of the other videos which can be a bit… sterile. Thanks 🙂
Thanks Pat, that really gave me some confidence, Doing our own wedding cake so don't want to mess it up!! Keep up the good vids xox
Really easy to follow and enjoyable to watch, thank you very much! (:
This is very helpful! Thanks Pat!
