Ingredients
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups cake flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
How to Make It
Step 1
Beat sugar and butter at medium speed with a heavy-duty electric stand mixer until creamy and fluffy (about 5 minutes). Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until yellow disappears after each addition. Beat in vanilla bean paste and almond extract.
Step 2
Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl; add to sugar mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Beat at medium-low speed just until blended after each addition. (Batter will be thick.) Use immediately.

    Funny thing is that I'm too lazy to go to the store to buy cake mixes, so I just make them from scratch. Does that even make sense? 😂 Actually, for me it is easier and cheaper to make from-scratch since I never keep box mixes on hand, but I always have the other ingredients. I guess it's because I make a lot more than just cakes. I can see doing this if you don't bake regularly, though.

    I feel on something that was delicious. Because my dinner guests could not come I had a Pint of Heavy whipped Real daily Whipped Cream ( I was planning for strawberries 🍓)
    So I fixed a Betty Crocker Devils food Chocolate cake exactly like it said folded in All that whipped cream, and baked.
    It was the Best Cake I have had of the Chocolate variety except for the Costco sheet cakes with all that moose in them so if I make one at home that’s hard to beat

    Why would u even make a boxed mix!! The whole reason to making cakes from scratch is to avoid all the processed ingredients!! U don’t want all that crap in ur body! That’s why kids r overweight at 10 years old!!
